HMLG Clients Bring Films to the Seattle International Film Festival

Posted by Intern's Desk

The Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) is finally here! HMLG represents two clients who are showing films this year, a big congratulations to  Votiv Films and Baby Stranger.

Votiv Films, has two films at SIFF:  “Free Indeed,” winner of the 2015 Venice International Film Festival Horizons Award for Best Film, will be showing on June 7th and June 8th and using the festival description “takes place in the rarely seen world of Memphis' storefront churches, where a single mother and a faith healer struggle to cure her autistic son”.

The final showing of Votiv’s second entry “As You Are,” winner of the Sundance Film Festival 2016 U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Prize, is today May 27 at 4:00 pm This film is the story of “two grungy male teenage loners form an immediate bond through their shared love of Kurt Cobain, pot-smoking, and skipping school, then add a female friend to the mix, in this atmospheric teen-angst drama-cum-mystery tale set in the early '90s.”

Baby Stranger’s “The Intervention,” winner of the Sundance Film Festival 2016 U.S. Dramatic Individual Performance Award: Melanie Lynskey, plays on May 28th and 29th; is about “a group of friends whose reunion getaway goes south when it is revealed that the trip was orchestrated as an intervention for one troubled marriage.”

We are biased of course, but all three films are awesome.  We really hope that you will be able to head to SIFF and experience all of the great cinema over the next few weeks, and especially enjoy the offerings from HMLG’s clients Votiv Films and Baby Stranger. http://www.siff.net/festival-2016
