HMLG Invades France

When you think of Cannes France, you undoubtedly think of the Cannes Film Festival, but did you know this is also where the world goes to shop for television programming? Enter mipcom, started in 1965 as MIPTV (Marché International des Programmes de Télévision). (You wanted to brush up on your French, right?) Roughly translated to the International Purchase of Programs for Television, mipcom has evolved beyond just the television marketplace to match the world’s broadening consumption of media.
A branch of mipcom is MIPJunior which serves as the word’s showcase for kids programming. This is where HMLG Founder Joleen Hughes has jetted off to this week to help a client with a movie in the works based on a popular game app.
We want to wish her Bon Voyage, and don’t forget to bring home some French chocolates for the office!
