Background

Michelle Jaeger is a seasoned attorney with over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She began her career as a DGA 2nd Assistant Director before moving into legal and dealmaking roles, ultimately serving as Vice President of Business Affairs at Sony Pictures Television. There, she led international negotiations for scripted and unscripted series across North America, EMEA, Asia, and Latin America, including major co-productions, format licenses, and complex talent agreements.

Michelle is known for structuring innovative deals, navigating U.S. and international guild compliance, and providing pragmatic, creative-first counsel throughout the content lifecycle. Her background in physical production gives her a collaborative, on-the-ground approach to legal work, particularly when supporting fast-paced, global teams. She continues to advise clients in entertainment while also expanding into adjacent and emerging areas of law, applying her deep, transferable skill set to meet evolving client needs.

Based in the Los Angeles area, Michelle is a mother of two young boys and enjoys trailer camping adventures with her partner, Nate, and their dog, Bruce. She actively volunteers at her sons’ school and is currently spearheading a “Zen Den,” a lunchtime mindfulness space where students can meditate and build emotional wellness skills.

She holds a J.D. from Whittier Law School and a B.A. from California State University, San Francisco. She is a member of the California State Bar and the Directors Guild of America.
