Background
As patent strategist for HMLG, Toussaint Myricks focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications for a wide variety of inventions in the electrical and software art fields including computer software systems, computer architecture, networks, multimedia systems, telecommunications/signal processing, artificial intelligence and digital audio technologies. Prior to joining HMLG, Toussaint was Vice President and Chief Intellectual Property Counsel of PatentCafe.com, Inc., an innovative developer of software products for patent portfolio management. He also served as Chief Patent Counsel for Vulcan, Inc., where he established the strategic direction of Vulcan’s worldwide intellectual property portfolio. Toussaint has a degree in electrical engineering from M.I.T., a graduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington, and two law degrees from the Franklin Pierce Law Center. He is a registered patent attorney with the USPTO as well as the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and a former Chairman of the Seattle Chapter of the Licensing Executives Society.
