Kelly Lawton is an associate attorney where she focuses on IP Registration and Enforcements, multi-media licensing, and corporate formation. She earned her dual JD/MBA degree at Seattle University and received her bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Business Administration from San Diego State University.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Kelly worked in a variety of companies that involved real estate investments, computer-based therapy, and mobile media. During law school Kelly gained in-house legal experience working as a legal intern with a Software Service based company here in Seattle and most importantly as an HMLG intern.
Kelly was involved with several business focused organizations at Seattle U, in the President, Vice-President and Treasurer roles. She also volunteers with local organizations, including Wayfind Legal Clinic, which provides business and legal services to microenterprises and non-profits.
Kelly is a native Californian, and a lover of all things water; ocean, lakes, pool, snow, you name it. Since moving to Seattle, Kelly has learned to love the rain, Washington’s beauty and the outdoor playground it offers. When she’s not working at HMLG, she can be seen exploring Seattle with her lab, Holly.
