Anna Bakhmetyeva

Background

Anna Bakhmetyeva focuses on Russian legal analysis and Russian contract translation.  In addition to her work at HMLG, she is a Program Manager and Russian IP Law Consultant and Researcher at the University of Washington School of Law, where she helps manage and support the IP Teaching Collaboration project, the USPTO Law School Clinic Trademark and Patent Pilot program, and Center for Advanced Study & Research on Intellectual Property (CASRIP). She is a Russia and East Europe CASRIP Research Fellow.

Anna graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Law in Russia, with a focus in Civil Law. She worked in the Savings Bank of the Russian Federation for twelve years. As a lead legal adviser of the Legal Department, Anna worked with corporate and individual customers practicing contract, banking law, and litigation.

In 2011, Anna received her Master of Law in IP Law from the University of Washington School of Law. She is licensed to practice Russian law as a Foreign Consultant in the State of Washington.
